DIY SOS Big Build, now complete!
WML are proud to have been part of the team that helped to renovate, alter and extend 8 properties for veterans and their families.The project is featured in the DIY SOS programme being broadcast on the 14th and 21st of October.
WML were invited by BTP Architects
to provide Civil and Structural Engineering and Geotechnical Design Services on the project and are continuing to work in conjunction with BTP for on the next phase of this worthwhile project.
The project was made possible as a result of a combined effort by Manchester City Council, charities Walking With The Wounded and Haig Housing, Adactus Housing Group, BTP Architects, key contractors Kier, ISG, Wates, Wilmott-Dixon, Rowlinsons and surveyors Arcus plus supporting contractors and suppliers.

The Bowes Street project was awarded ‘Best New Affordable Housing Scheme’ at the Housing Excellence Awards.
The project comprised the regeneration of the Bowes Street area of Moss Side, including the extensive remodelling and refurbishment of over sixty, old terraced ex-council houses and 7 new build to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4.
